: and the problem is still there. first they told me that my t-belt was off, so they charged me $1250 to do a t-belt job, and they changed my CAS wire,TPS wire, so the bill was close to $2200. I took it in cuz, at hight rpm specially after 4k (under load) it surges, like it dies off. i really dont know what to do, and they cant figure out whats causing it. and should have used search. and should have posted in tech. and should have posted the symptoms.
first step; hand clean all your engine bay electrical engine connectors. all of them. use a jewelers screw drive to SCRAPE the connectors. Then reassemble with dielectric grease/. then start diagnosing all your sensor for proper function. and pull ecu error codes. by doing all this, you can narrow the problem down to something simple. If you really do own a TT, then there is a GOOD chance that your symptoms describe a severe boost leak too.
